Nassau News Live is hosting full coverage of the 2010 NCAA men's basketball tournament. We're using Cover It Live to interact with you about the games.

Feel free to join in on the conversation and get updated on all things NCAA this weekend. We've had a number of people come in and talk with NNL sports editors Mike Salerno, Chari Bayanker, Samantha Eng and Tim Robertson about the Round of 16 and Regional Finals.

We've kept the coverage fresh by showcasing photos, links, articles and stats that pertain to the games in progress. We've also linked Twitter feeds from the numerous schools that are taking part in the tournament, chiming in with information specific to their school. We'll be using Cover It Live throughout the tournament, which concludes on April 5.

Precursors to Nassau News Live first utilized Cover It Live in the fall of 2007. Since, journalism and public relations students at Hofstra University have used the live blogging service to bring coverage of Super Tuesday in Feburary 2008, the third presidential debate in October 2008 - which took place at Hofstra - and finally the 2008 presidential election.

In January 2009, when NNL launched, Cover It Live was a focal point of our coverage. We used it to live blog visits from Anderson Cooper, discuss March Madness and live coverage of the Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball tournament in Richmond, Va.

Cover It Live works best when everyone is involved, so please submit comments with your thoughts on the various topics we are discussing, participate in polls and submit new topics for discussion.

We will be launching weekly and on-going live chats on specific issues concerning NNL's coverage area, and events as they happen.

Live blogging is becoming a larger part of journalism. It is about community involvement and listening to what viewers have to say, so take a few minutes to join the discussion.
